Selsey Buddy Support has been developed from the very successful and widely admired 'Buddy' system which was rapidly introduced to counter the problems arising from the first Covid-19 lockdown. Selsey Buddy Support continues
to provide help to those throughout the community who are in need.
- Shopping for grocery and other vital items including prescription medicines.
- Delivery of the monthly Selsey Community Forum Newsletter
to increase awareness of current services and activities.
- Transport for medical, dental and optician appointments within a
distance of about 30 miles. This service is financially supported by
The Friends of Selsey Medical Practice.
- Pet Pantry which delivers to those who are struggling with
the increasing cost of pet food.
- English classes to support those for whom English is a second language.
- Sign Language classes to support people who have contact with
those living with hearing impairment.
- Help with computers and smart phones including the use of emails,
social media as well as the NHS and other apps.
- Robins Service, working with St Wilfrd's Hospice and sponsored by
The Friends of Selsey Medical Practice, supports and befriends
those who might need help in later life and at the end-of-life.
- Our Volunteers also help in the running of the Care Shop.
